Our birthing center was deliberately built to create a luxurious, welcoming, and safe spa-like setting for families to deliver their babies. With the spectacular Wasatch mountains as a backdrop, the center is conveniently positioned right of the I-215 freeway. Located in close proximity to major hospitals, Wasatch Midwifery and Wellness is a nationally accredited, licensed, and fully equipped maternity center. Our staff provides care for low-risk pregnancies and with women planning natural childbirth. Our dedicated staff works collaboratively, facilitating the best outcomes for mothers and babies, offering our signature concierge-style care.
Inside the center
Clients will find a clean, spacious, and modern setting with two graciously appointed birthing suites. Each private, birth room features a large free-standing tub, birthing aids including birth balls, birth stools, hanging yoga slings, and full mountain views. With these amenities, each room contains all the necessary medical equipment and supplies needed for performing a low-risk delivery. Our rooms are also stocked with soft spa robes, high-end linens, original artwork, and soft lighting. Clients have access to our kitchen, laundry, and wifi during their stay.
Clients enjoy a relaxing stay in their suite, where our staff closely monitor mother and baby until discharge. Customarily, families remain at the center 4-6 hours after birthing. They only return home after the midwife team has thoroughly performed exams, provided a meal, shower, assisted with breastfeeding, and discussed our postpartum follow-up course. The midwives remain on-call 24 hours a day to answer any concern.
We welcome doulas, family members, support people, and siblings in the center to assist the labor. Since women receive their prenatal care with us, they develop a sense of comfort and familiarity with the staff and facility. Our team looks forward to receiving calls, no matter the hour, from our clients in labor. We celebrate each birth as a profound, individual experience for each family.
