All of us here at Wasatch Midwifery + Wellness hope this message finds you and your family safe and well during these stressful, extraordinary times of social distancing, school/work closures, and earthquake anxiety—like we needed THAT on top of everything else! We are here to support and assist you and your family as much as possible.

Here are some things to consider during COVID‑19:

  • Please call us and let us know immediately if you have any symptoms of illness, especially fever, cough, and shortness of breath, so we can guide you to appropriate care. While we cannot provide COVID‑19 testing or care here in the clinic, we can direct you to proper healthcare providers. Please do not come to the clinic if you have any signs of any type of illness (cold/flu symptoms, gastrointestinal illness).
  • We have instituted telemed appointments, and unless you are postpartum or 36 weeks or further along in your pregnancy, you will not be seen in the office unless you need to have labs drawn. For those of you at 36+ weeks, instead of seeing you weekly in the clinic, we will see you in the clinic every other week, and via telemed visit in between.
  • As many of you know, we were clean freaks before, and all this virus panic has validated our already fastidious habits! We have instituted extra precautions, like seeing patients via telemed as mentioned above, making our own hand-sanitizer (quit hoarding it, y’all!), washing our hands even more often, washing all laundry (not just birth laundry) on the sanitize cycle, and wiping all surfaces down a couple of extra times per day!
  • Ways for you to stay healthy and well are to get lots of sleep, eat nutritious foods, drink lots of water, and wash wash wash your hands! Please check out social media on Facebook and Instagram for helpful articles and links to help you stay well and sane during these interesting times.

Please understand that we do not know how long we will have to continue doing most of your prenatal care via telemed. We will keep you posted as we learn more about the situation.

We are all in this together!
